My name is Madison (Maddie) Rocco, and I’m an Inclusive Educator based in Kelowna, British Columbia. I’m currently completing my Master of Arts in Inclusive Education at Trinity Western University, where I continue to deepen my understanding of inclusive education through both research and practice.

My path into inclusive education began with an interest in developmental psychology, speech-language pathology, and neurodiversity. While completing my undergraduate degree, I began working as a behavioural interventionist, which sparked a lasting passion for supporting children and youth with diverse learning and support needs.

Today, I support learners across home, school, and community settings, providing individualized educational support, tutoring, curriculum adaptation, executive functioning support, behaviour and regulation support, and collaboration with families and educational teams.

I believe that understanding the learner comes before changing the behaviour.

Every learner has their own strengths, interests, experiences, and ways of learning.

My role is to understand the whole learner, identify barriers, and develop practical supports that make learning and participation more accessible.

At the heart of my practice is a simple goal: to help learners build skills, confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging. I love finding creative ways to meet learners where they are and adapting my approach to help them discover what they’re capable of.

I’m always learning, always growing, and always looking for new ways to support the learners and families I work alongside.
